Everyone has their reasons for loving this time of year as we move into the autumn months. In the Philippines, they refer to it as the "BER-months" (ie: SeptemBER, etc.) and others like to give consistent or daily attention to the countdown boards at mall entrances (111 more days to go as of today if you are wondering).
https://www.oneforisrael.org/.../the-feast-of-trumpets.../ Additionally, on September 1st the malls and department stores begin to introduce Christmas songs! It has always seemed to me that Filipinos are partly from "Whoville" (as from Dr. Suess' "How the Grinch Stole Christmas!")...they just love to celebrate Christmas and being over 90% Catholic-oriented nation this makes it with a proper focus, mostly, on Jesus Christ! But, my focus in recent years during the "-BER" months is the Old Testament Fall Feasts of ..."the Feast of Trumpets (Rosh Hashanah or Yom Teruah), the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur), and the Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot)." Why? Well because their focus on Christ and also Christ's Second Coming. He fulfilled all the prophecies related to His First Coming in the Spring Feasts and I think it is fascinating and even compelling to know the details of the Fall Feasts and how the Lord might fulfill those prophecies! We shall see! With all that in mind...here is a fantastic blog article from One for Israel, which is sure to encourage our faith on the first of the fall feasts, the Feast of Trumpets! Blessings!
