The Institute for Practical Theology
The Institute for Practical Theology was borne out of the observation that there are many serving in churches in and around the provinces of Manila who need more training. Yet, there are a couple of problems: 1) These faithful pastors and lay leaders cannot move to Manila for seminary, and 2) they cannot leave the ministry the Lord has given them for the training.
IPT is an initial solution to help them get the training and encouragement they so desperately need. We bring seminary-level courses, seminars and workshops to a an area near to them. These include:

- Approved Workmen Training -
- A series of seminars designed to resource preachers and teachers of God's Word to improve their exegesis and expository preaching.
- AWT is up and running and has been used in 2 locations with 3 potential locations at the end of 2018
- Common Church Issues Workshop -
- A workshop for a church leadership team to give them a framework for solving issues common to all churches.
- CCI Workshop is in post-development and will be used in "beta-form" in 2017 at Emmanuel Baptist Church
- Sufficiency of Scripture in Discipleship
- A seminar/ workshop for local churches and their leadership to receive more training equipping and encouragement as they serve in discipleship. The seminar is adaptable to the timing and needs of a loacal congregation with the following focus:
- Sufficiency of Scripture in Discipleship = seminar on this doctrine of Bibliology and its necessity and impact on our discipleship of others.
- Constructing a Framework for Discipleship = this seminar emphasizes the practical theology and tools that will help God's people disciple well and especially in solving issues of Disicipleship, Leadership, Biblical Counseling and Apologetics/False Teaching.
- A seminar/ workshop for local churches and their leadership to receive more training equipping and encouragement as they serve in discipleship. The seminar is adaptable to the timing and needs of a loacal congregation with the following focus:
- Peacemakers Training -
- A seminar style training in the biblical concepts and principles involved in conflict resolution.
- In development: this seminar training will use the primary source of Peacemakers, by Ken Sande, among other resources as well.
- "TRUTH-BEARERS" Project -
- A training event effort partnering US pastors and seminary educators with the Institute for Practical Theology to offer seminary-level courses to a gathering of pastors and lay-leaders in a particular region of Manila or its provinces.
- In development: This is an invitation only partnership and very specific to particular learning needs with US teams numbering 4 or less.
